It seems Polokwane Municipality has trouble planning
My previous post raised interesting comments.
All seem to reflect on the municipality’s capacity to plan ahead. The post and comments are here http://www.nicp.co.za/2008/11/polokwane-municipality-does-not-care.html
But look at the photo taken on the corner of Cygnus and Grobler Streets in Sterpark.
The electricity section dug this trench three weeks ago to “take electricity to Pick ‘n Pay in Savannah because they do not have enough”. They just left it like that and disappeared. When I called the electricity section to find out when they will finish the trench as my sidewalk lawn has been messed up and people have difficulty parking there, an official who identified himself as Pheela, promised to find out and report back to me.
Needless to say, I have not heard from him. (It’s not because of the rain. The rain came later)
Come on Polokwane Municipality. Just communicate with the people, keep them informed, don’t play tough guy with them. Gosh, we are on your side. We want this city to be a success and not a place for which we must apologise. We want you to be a good and caring and successful municipality because that will make us feel good.
It will make us proud to be Polokwaneans.
But we need your leadership.
PS: The traffic light on the Tzaneen road at the entrance of Savannah Mall is still not working after two weeks

THIS SHOWS THE COUNCIL DOES NOT CARE FOR OUR SAFETY!
