It is all about defending the power structure

Most confrontations between individuals and the establishment is the making of the defenders of a power structure.

Whether it is a religion overreacting to criticism, a government official acting with antagonism because she does not know why a specific form is necessary, or a manager that realises that a subordinate know more than he does, the reaction is mostly all about defending the power structure.

Do you contribute to the improvement of people’s lives, your organisation, your community, yourself, or do you act to the detriment of people, your organisation, your community, yourself, by defending the power structure as opposed to improving the organisation?

Power hunger is the basic motivating force in the world, therefore the first reaction of people under siege is to still that hunger by defending the power structure.

You can defend your own little power structure or you can be proactive and adventurous and contribute to the development of society by creating an open society where everyone is part of the power structure.

What will it be?
