Knowledge is not power
Society has progressed to such a state that knowledge is not power anymore. Applied knowledge is power.
To have knowledge without being able to apply it, is worthless. Gone are the days when people had power because of age, sex or an inherited title. Even queens and kings have little power unless it is underpinned by arms.
But where the people decide, it is those with knowledge that they apply to influence the lives of people, that rule.
Even those in corrupt countries or big corporations that believe they have power over people, only have power as long as the people live in those countries or work in those corporations. And that power is also of little value because it cannot motivate, it can only threaten. It is only the people who know more and know how to apply their superior knowledge, that can build anything.
The people that still think traditional will fight to keep it traditional, but they will become less influential. Because those with knowledge that they know how to apply, will rule.
Knowledge is not power any more and the lack of knowledge that one can apply, will leave many a “boss” with a feeling of inferiority which they will have difficulty to deal with.
