You may be dead
“If in the last few years you haven’t discarded a major opinion or acquired a new one, check your pulse, you may be dead.” – Frank Gelett Burgess, American writer, poet.
But to change an opinion, one must first of all question the status quo. Is what I think objectively true, or am I thinking subjectively?
Not many people are prepared to question their beliefs. It is much too painful and the result may mean that I must stand alone against the world because of my convictions.
Question one view or belief that you have held for more than 3 years and see if it still withstands the test of truth.
“Who am I to think that my little part of the truth is the whole truth?”
