Adventure

“Adventure isn’t hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude that we must apply to the day-to-day obstacles of life: facing new challenges, seizing new opportunities, testing our resources against the unknown and, in the process, discovering our own unique potential.” - John Amatt, Organizer/participant, Canada’s first successful expedition to summit Mt. Everest.

Can’t put it better myself, unless ….. adventure is finding pleasure in every little experience.

But, what is important to note in Amatts’s definition is that he calls adventure an ATTITUDE. It is not something that other people arrange for you, it is not necessarily something you experience.

It is just your attitude towards whatever crosses you path.

Where will you find adventure today?: Learning a new skill? Getting to know a “stirrer” at work better to find out why she is like that? Doing something you have never done before? Doing something you have always been scared of doing? Doing something boring, differently to make it interesting?

Utilize your attitude to create adventure in your life today.
